COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- With Ohio Valley Conference playoff implications on the line, the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team will look to rebound Saturday as it hosts the Eastern Kentucky Lady Colonels.

The opening tip is set for 7 p.m. and fans who cannot attend can be view the game regionally on WCTE.

With its recent 51-50 loss to OVC-leading Eastern Illinois, Tech finds itself in fourth place in the league standings with a 9-5 conference record, but currently holds the No. 3 seed in OVC playoffs due to SIU Edwardsville being ineligible to participate in the postseason tournament.

Eastern Kentucky owns a 12-12 record and is fifth in the OVC standings with a 7-6 conference mark.

Saturday's game marks the 73rd meeting between the Golden Eagles and the Lady Colonels with TTU holding the series edge at 51-21. At home against EKU, Tech has built an impressive 28-4 record when the Lady Colonels visit the Eblen Center and has won its last seven home games against Eastern Kentucky.

In their previous meeting this season in Richmond, Ky., TTU handed the Lady Colonels an 82-67 loss back on Jan. 28. During that encounter, five Golden Eagles posted at least 12 points with senior Tacarra Hayes leading the way as she posted a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Seniors Brittany Darling and Rachel Glidden, along with sophomore Molly Heady, each added 13 points, while junior Jala Harris added 12 points.

Harris, who was recently named the OVC Newcomer of the Week, has led the Golden Eagle offense during the last two games which includes a career-high 26 points against Tennessee State. Against EIU, freshman T'Keyah Williams also had a solid night as she posted seven points and five rebounds.

EKU enters the weekend after dropping Morehead State 78-68. Jade Barber has been one of Eastern Kentucky's go-to players this season as she has averaged 11.7 points and a team-high 7.8 rebounds per game. Marie Carpenter has also made he presence felt, averaging a team-leading 13.7 points per game.

Saturday's game is also TTU's "Think Pink" night and fans are encouraged to wear pink to help raise awareness for breast cancer. Fans who wear pink can purchase tickets for $1.
