Golden Eagles look to keep thing rolling as they travel to Morehead State

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- With its first Ohio Valley Conference road win under its belt, the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team will look to keep its newfound momentum going as it travels to Morehead State Monday.

The opening tip is set for 5 p.m. (CT).

The Golden Eagles control the all-time series against MSU 54-19, which includes two straight wins at home dating back to last season. However, the Johnson Arena has not been friendly to TTU in recent years, as the Golden Eagles have not won at Morehead State in six years to the day of their upcoming game this Monday.

In their meeting earlier this season, Tech put together a 68-50 victory in Eblen Center earlier this month. The Golden Eagles were paced by sophomore Jala Harris's 18 points, while senior Tacarra Hayes and sophomore Molly Heady added 17 points and 13 points, respectively.

In their last six games, Harris, Hayes and Heady are still wreaking havoc on opposing defenses as they have combined for 250 of Tech's 417 points since TTU and MSU met last. Senior Brittany Darling has also been a force on offense, averaging 12.3 points per game during that span.

A trio of players has led Morehead State on offense this season, including Linda Dixon and Courtney Lumpkin. Dixon is averaging a team-high 14.9 points per game, with Lumpkin following close behind averaging 14.0 points per game. Ashar Harris has also put up some solid numbers as she has averaged 12.4 points and a team-leading 12.7 rebounds per game.
