COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Tech fans and alumni attending the matches at the Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball Tournament in Murray, Ky., this weekend are invited to a hospitality tent, hosted by Tech Athletics, on the campus of Murray State.

The Tennessee Tech Golden Eagle volleyball team will be in Murray attempting to capture an OVC Tournament title for the first time since 2008. The last time TTU even made the tournament was 2010.

Tech heads into the tournament as the fifth seed, and will open play with a 5:30 P.M. CT match on Thursday evening versus fourth-seed Jacksonville State. TTU and Jax State split the regular season, each winning in its respective gymnasiums. When Tech traveled to Jacksonville, Ala., the Gamecocks got the upper hand winning 3-1 (25-17, 25-19, 20-25. 27-25). However, the match in Cookeville boded in favor of the Golden Eagles, who won 3-1 (25-18, 22-25, 25-22, 25-22).

Tech Athletics will host a hospitality tent before each Golden Eagle match in the tourney, opening one-and-a-half hours before each contest. The tent is open to all Tech fans including alumni, parents of the team and friends. A purple tent and TTU trailer will be located in the parking lot outside the arena.

Meanwhile, fans who are not able to get to the games can watch live stats to keep up with the action, or watch a live webstream of the action provided by the OVC Digital Network.
