Dodd picks up second adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech's Cody Dodd earned her second adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor on Tuesday, following an impressive all-around effort. The award is voted on by conference Sports Information Directors.

The junior was a point-scoring machine this weekend, and it didn't just come from attacking. While Dodd did lead the Golden Eagles with 4.43 kills per set over the weekend, she also point-scored on defense and from the service line. Dodd added an impressive nine service aces while committing only two errors. Dodd also added nine blocks.

In the match against EKU, Dodd recorded her ninth double-double of the season, putting down a team-high 16 kills, while scooping up 15 digs. She also added three blocks and two service aces.

In the win over Morehead State, the 6-4 opposite put together one of the most well-rounded performances to date. Dodd again led the Golden Eagles, putting down 15 kills. She also added a career-high seven service aces, adding eight digs and six blocks, scoring a team-best 25 points. Her overall weekend stats read as 4.43 kills per set, 3.29 digs per set, 1.29 aces, and 1.29 blocks, for a total of 6.36 points per set.

The OVC Defensive Player of the Week award was given to senior libero Dena Ott of Eastern Kentucky, and the Setter of the Week honor went to sophomore Katarina Rotta from Southeast Missouri.
