COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- After a pair of close matches in its last homestand, the Tennessee Tech volleyball team will look to keep the pressure up as it takes on a pair of Ohio Valley Conference rivals on the road in Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky.
The Golden Eagles begin their road trip Friday, with a 6 p.m. match against Morehead State. TTU is 17-51 all-time against Morehead State, which included a 1-3 record over the last two seasons.
MSU currently sits atop the OVC standings with a 7-0 OVC record, and a 12-5 overall record. The Eagles are led by Ellie Roberson, who leads the OVC in kills with 257, and Caitlin Clark, who leads the conference in assists with 696.
Tech wraps up its two-match road trip Saturday, at 1 p.m., against Eastern Kentucky. The Golden Eagles are 19-45 all-time against the Colonels and 1-3 in their last four meetings against EKU.
The Colonels currently sit in fourth place in the OVC with a 4-3 conference record and a 9-9 overall record. EKU is led by Ashley Edmond on offense, who has posted a team-leading 233 kills. On defense, the Colonels are led by Dena Ott, who has tallied a team-high 334 digs.
