Golden Eagles continue conference play at UT Martin

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- After splitting its recent homestand last weekend, the Tennessee Tech volleyball team will hit the road for an Ohio Valley Conference match against in-state rival UT Martin Tuesday, at 6 p.m.

 So far on the season freshman Ellen Conti has paced the Golden Eagle offense with 186 kills, which includes 29 from this past weekend. Sophomore Natalie Penrod is close behind Conti with 178 kills, while junior Kelsey Gray has notched 156 kills and a team-leading 60 total blocks.

Tech is 36-19 all-time against the Skyhawks, which includes a 3-1 loss earlier this season. In their first meeting Conti led the Golden Eagle offense with 16 kills, while sophomore Ashleigh Hancock dished out 26 assists.

UTM is currently owns a 13-8 overall record, with an 8-3 OVC record, which ranks second in the conference. Ashley Doherty currently ranks seventh in the conference with 253 kills, while Jenna Miller ranks second in the OVC in assists with 852.
