TAMPA, Fla. – Tennessee Tech track & field's historic 2017-18 season officially came to an end on Friday at the NCAA East Preliminary.

D'Airrien Jackson and Na'Asha Robinson closed their junior years with their final events.

The pair had both advanced to the 400m dash quarterfinal after finishing among the top 24 in Thursday's first round. Today, Robinson put up a season-best time of 52.28 to place 14th. D'Airrien Jackson was 20th with a time of 53.03.

Robinson continued her day in the 200m dash first round, placing 26th with a time of 23.17. She was just .06 seconds away from earning a spot to Saturday's 200m dash quarterfinal.

With that, Tech ends one of the most dominant seasons – arguably in any sport – in school history, having swept both indoor and outdoor conference team titles (along with the Track Athlete of the Year and Athlete of the Championship awards), capturing 15 OVC event wins and qualifying a program-best five athletes to the NCAA East Preliminary.
