KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech track & field will send five Golden Eagles to Knoxville, Tennessee, on Saturday for the Tennessee Challenge.
These five student-athletes will have one last go at their respective events before hosting the OVC Outdoor Championships from May 10-12 at Tucker Stadium.
Na'Scottisha Drummond and Raven Smith will compete in jumps on Saturday, while D'Airrien Jackson, Ceirra Tate and Lisa Wickham are scheduled for sprints and the 400m hurdles.
Each will look to improve their marks for OVC seeding and upcoming NCAA East Preliminary competition. All five Golden Eagles rank within the top 15 in the conference in their scheduled events for this weekend.
Jackson heads into the Tennessee Challenge as the reigning adidas® OVC Female Track Athlete of the Week following last week's Lenny Lyles / Clark Wood Invitational. She competed in four events and put up a career-best time in the 200m dash.
