KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Five Tennessee Tech runners and jumpers put in some final regular-season cuts at the Tennessee Challenge on Saturday.
D'Airrien Jackson continued her standout week after last Saturday's performance in Louisville led to her adidas® OVC Female Track Athlete of the Week honor on Wednesday.
Today, she broke Tech's school record in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:01.80, which also gave her a win in the event. Crystal Liebenberg had held the record at 1:03.11 from last season's OVC Outdoor Championships. Jackson won the 400m dash as well, finishing with a season-best time of 53.62.
Na'Scottisha Drummond tied her season-best mark with a height of 1.65m in the high jump, finishing as the runner-up in the event, and Ceirra Tate put up a new personal record of 24.46 in the 200m dash.
