TULSA, Okla. -- Two Tennessee Tech men's tennis players are playing in the ITA Pre-Qualifying as part of the 2014 Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships. For the 10th straight year, the University of Tulsa is hosting the championships at the state-of-the-art Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Prequalifying matches are set to begin Saturday (Sept. 27) with qualifying matches following on Sept. 29. A field of 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams will then compete in the main draw on Oct. 2.
Eduardo Mena will open play against OliverLandert from the University of Florida. Alberto Esteban is scheduled to meet Peter Molloy from Southern Illinois-Carbondale.
Singles quarterfinalists, doubles finalists and consolation champions will receive an automatic entry into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships on Nov. 7-10, held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, NY.
