Tech men's golf team heads east for Golfweek Spring Invitational

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team hits the links for the second-straight week, heading for the East Coast and True Blue Golf Course in Myrtle Beach for the Golfweek Spring Invitational, competing Monday, Apr. 5 and Tuesday, Apr. 6.

GOLFWEEK SPRING INVITATIONAL: Apr. 5-6, 2021 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,940-yard True Blue Golf Course in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Play will begin each day at 6:30 a.m. CT with a shotgun start.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are junior Bryce Beeler, freshman Mark McDearman, sophomore Nick Sutton, senior Bracton Womack and senior Will Brooks. Competing as an individual is junior Chance Taylor.

THE COMPETITION: The 11-team field consists of Campbell, Coastal Carolina, Delaware, North Dakota State, Old Dominion, Radford, Stephen F. Austin, Tennessee Tech, USC Upstate, William & Mary and Winthrop.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH POLK BROWN: "After a tough finish at Mercer, the guys are ready to bounce back strong at True Blue. We have played this course a few times in the past, and we look forward to a strong showing this week. We are hitting the home stretch towards OVC and look to gain some momentum at this event."
