COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech fans throughout the region will have an exciting new way to follow Golden Eagle football during the 2009 season with a weekly call-in show that will be simulcast on both television and radio.

The Watson Brown Show, featuring third-year Golden Eagle head coach Watson Brown, will be presented by IWC Cash & Carry. The call-in show will air on WCTE-TV live every Monday night at 5 p.m., with a taped encore each Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Each show will also air on the radio on WHUB am 1400.

During the 30-minute broadcast, Brown will sit down with local sports personality Buddy Pearson and recap the previous week’s game, show highlights and game film, preview the upcoming opponent, and answer questions from callers as well as emails.

The premier episode will be Sept. 7 as the Golden Eagles prepare to open the season at home against Pikeville on Sept. 10.

WCTE is the PBS station for the Upper Cumberland, and can be seen in the Nashville market on Dish and DirectTV. WHUB am 1400 is part of the Golden Eagle Sports Network.

“We are thrilled that IWC Cash & Carry is the presenting sponsor, allowing us to air The Watson Brown Show during the 2009 season,” said Mark Wilson, TTU Director of Athletics. “WCTE-TV does a great job of providing regional sports coverage, and The Watson Brown Show has proven to be popular with fans throughout the Upper Cumberland and Metro Nashville regions in the past. We plan to build on that success.”

WCTE-TV will televise all five of Tech’s home games in 2009.

Brown, a Cookeville native, is in his third season as Tennessee Tech’s head football coach. He is in his 25th season as a head football coach, and his 37th season in college coaching overall.
