Golden Eagles to take on Morehead State in one-day dual match

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team will partake in one last event prior to the Ohio Valley Conference Championships, going up against OVC opponent Morehead State in a dual match Sunday.

The 18-hole event, which will take place at Kearney Hills Golf Course in Lexington, Ky., will cover 6,120 yards and a par of 72.

The Golden Eagles will enter the event after a 54-hole adventure at the EKU Colonel Classic last weekend. Freshman Whitney Robertson led the Tech squad in the event, tying for 12th with a 157. Sophomore Megan Williamson finished right behind her, shooting a 159 to tie for 18th.

"Getting to play a one-day challenge match with Morehead State will be good for our team," said head coach Polk Brown. "They are typically one of the best teams in the conference and the golf course is supposed to be very good. Both of those things should just help with the preparation for the tournament."

Take a look at this Sunday's expected starting five:

  1. Whitney Robertson (Fr.)
  2. Maddi Everts (So.)
  3. Lydia Triplett (Fr.)
  4. Megan Williamson (So.)
  5. Allison Geer (So.)
  6. Haley Davidson (Fr.)
