MOREHEAD, Ky. -- When the Tennessee Tech soccer team bids for the 2009 Ohio Valley Conference championship Sunday Tennessee Tech fans, alumni and family are invited to a pre-match tailgate event beginning at 11 a.m. Eastern under the purple ten in the parking lot next to Jayne Stadium.
The Tennessee Tech Athletics Association will provide snacks and beverages at the event.
Come support head coach Becky Fletcher and the Golden Eagles as they look for their first OVC championship since 2000, and a berth to the 2009 NCAA tournament
The Golden Eagles got to the title game after back-to-back double-overtime victories on consecutive nights. OVC Offensive Player of the Year Jen Hoffman recorded her first career hat trick in the first round game as Tech defeated Eastern Illinois 3-2 on Thursday, before Kris Cambron netted the game winner with a minute and a half to play in the second overtime on Friday.
