BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech track & field saw a pair of Golden Eagles take home weekly honors for the second straight week, with two student-athletes repeating as winners of a pair of Ohio Valley Conference Female Indoor Track & Field awards.

Junior Kendall Medders was named OVC Female Field Athlete of the Week for the second time in her career and as many weeks. Rookie Sidnee Stanton picked up her second consecutive OVC Female Freshman Athlete of the Week award.

Medders set a new personal record in the high jump for the second week in a row, putting forth her best showing yet as a Golden Eagle at the Tigers Indoor Invitational in Sewanee, Tenn. last week. A native of Knoxville, the junior turned cleared 1.66 meters (5'5.5") to win the event and provide the OVC's top height of the season.

Stanton continued to burst onto the scene in her first season in the purple and gold, starting with a strong showing in the long jump. Placing third overall, she delivered a leap of 5.58 meters (18'3.75") before turning in a fourth-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 10.67 meters (35'0").

The Golden Eagles compete next at the Samford Open on Saturday, Feb. 11, with the full squad prepared to take part in the final event before the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championships.
