COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Following a record-breaking career for the Tennessee Tech track & field team, Lisa Wickham has rejoined the Golden Eagle program as an assistant coach for track & field and men's and women's cross country as announced by head coach Peter Dalton.

"Lisa is Tech through and through, earning her undergrad and masters here in Cookeville," Dalton expressed. "She has represented our University and her native Trinidad and Tobago on the track at the highest level. Lisa has won numerous individual and team titles at the conference level and holds untouchable records that still stand to this day in the OVC. Complimenting this passion for excellence is her easy-going, personal disposition which will help her connect to our student-athletes and recruits, all while remaining laser-focused on helping the athletes fulfill their potential in all facets of campus life."

During her Golden Eagle career from 2017-20, Wickham established herself among the best in program history, claiming Ohio Valley Conference individual medalist honors in the 60-meter, 100-meter, 4x100-meter relay, and 4x400-meter relay. She established the OVC's indoor 60-meter record multiple times and still holds the league's top mark at the OVC Indoor Championships. She also still possesses the league's top mark in the OVC Outdoor Championships in the 4x100-meter relay.

Tech's indoor record holder in the 60-meter and outdoor record holder in the 100-meter and 4x100-meter relay, Wickham helped guide the Golden Eagles to their first-ever OVC during the indoor campaign in 2018. Her squad followed it up with the 2018 OVC Outdoor Championship and a third crown in the 2019 OVC Outdoor Championships.

Prior to her arrival at Tech, Wickham competed nationally for her native Trinidad and Tobago at both the junior and senior competition levels, capturing a national championship in the 100-meter dash. She won multiple medals while competing in the Carifta Games, World Junior Championships, and the Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships.

Also before heading to the United States as a student-athlete, she was a NACAC bronze medalist while competing at the CAC Senior Championships and Commonwealth Games.

Wickham completed her bachelor's degree in exercise science and physical wellness from Tennessee Tech in December 2020. She added a master's degree in exercise science and physical wellness with a concentration in kinesiology in July 2022.
