COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Tech track & field
team will begin it's indoor season on December 7 as the Golden
Eagles travel to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill.,
for their first competition of the year.
Coach Tony Cox announced the track schedule this week.
The team's next meet will not be until January 17-18
following Christmas break. The Golden Eagles will travel to East
Tennessee State for their second meet. On February 2, the Golden
Eagles will head to Nashville to compete in Tennessee State's
meet.
On February 7-8, Tech will travel back to Southern
Illinois University for the final indoor meet before the Ohio
Valley Conference Indoor Championships on February 21-22. The OVC
Championships will be held at TSU.
The outdoor season will begin on March 15 as the Golden
Eagles travel to Jacksonville State.
They will then compete at UNC Charlotte on March 22, and
head to Vanderbilt on March 28-29 to wrap up the month.
The track team will open up April at Murray State on the 4th, the first of two meets hosted by Murray State that the Golden Eagles will compete in. The other will be a mid-week event on April 24.
Between the two Murray State trips, the Golden Eagles will
head to Bowling Green, Ky., to compete at the Western Kentucky
Invitational.
The OVC Outdoor Championships will be held May 2-3 at SIU
Edwardsville.
