COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Southeast Missouri closed out the three-game series on Sunday, scoring five runs in the top of the fifth to force the run rule against Tennessee Tech as the Redhawks won 10-0.

Tech (3-30, 0-9 Ohio Valley Conference) returns to action on Tuesday as it travels to Lipscomb, then on to UT Martin for a three-game series on Friday.

Abby Shoulders, Savannah Talley and Ella Bishop each collected Tech's three hits in the contest, while Shoulders also drew a walk.

Kaylan Cole was tagged with the loss as she allowed 10 runs on 11 hits, walking three and striking out three. SEMO's Delaney Kell picked up the victory, her eighth of the year, as she struck out five.

Paige Halliwill, who went perfect from the plate on Saturday, was retired in her first three trips to the plate. Her fourth trip was the charm, however, as she hit a three-run home run in the top of the fifth to force the run rule. Kat Sackett and Zoe Schulte each drove in two with Schulte going 3-for-3 at the plate.
