COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's basketball team wraps up its three-game road swing with its final non-conference tilt away from Cookeville, making the trip down I-40 for a Wednesday night battle with in-state rival Lipscomb at 7:00 p.m. CT in Nashville.

Fans can follow the action via radio on 106.1 The Eagle with Dylan Vazzano on the call or stream the game on ESPN+.

Lipscomb comes into the match-up on a two-game skid, dropping a pair of road tilts last week at Alabama A&M and Tennessee State. After dropping a 63-59 decision against the Bulldogs on Friday, the Bisons fell to the Tigers on Sunday in a barn burner, 90-85.

Prior to the pair of losses, Lipscomb had run off four consecutive wins, including a 72-66 triumph at in-state foe Chattanooga and a solid 82-77 showing at home against Navy. Strong performances for the Bisons also include a 77-75 victory over Belmont in the Battle of the Boulevard rivalry game and a one-point loss at Notre Dame.

Wednesday's tilt marks the 55th between the two programs all-time, with Tech holding a decisive, 43-11 advantage overall. The Golden Eagles are 17-7 when competing with the Bisons in Nashville, but Lipscomb has claimed the last two meetings in Allen Arena.

Tech fell in its most recent contest, an 87-64 loss at Troy on Saturday. The Golden Eagles jumped on top early, 6-0, but the Trojans answered with a 15-0 run and never looked back. Troy shot 57.6 percent for the game and forced 19 Tech turnovers.

Three members of the Golden Eagles finished the contest in double figures, led by newcomers Ty Perry and Brett Thompson. The guards both tallied 13 points, with Perry finishing 5-for-10 from the field and Thompson converting 4-of-10 tries from the floor and 4-of-4 attempts at the charity stripe.

Junior guard Jayvis Harvey contributed 12 points, as well as team-highs of seven rebounds and two steals.
