COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Tech football fans planning to make the trek to the Lone Star state for the Golden Eagle game at the University of Houston on Saturday, Sept. 5 -- and the many TTU alumni and friends already in the region -- are invited to a Tailgate gathering hosted by the TTU Alumni Association.

The tailgate is from 4:30-6:30 p.m., and will be located and will be in the University of Houston Athletics-Alumni Center. In addition to getting prepped for the game, attendees will have the chance to meet TTU President Philip Oldham, Director of Athletics Mark Wilson, fans and alumni and other university administrators and staff.
 
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CDT in TDECU Stadium. A game ticket and tailgate combo is $38 per person, while a tailgate only ticket is $10 (for persons who already have game tickets).

RESERVATIONS: Game Ticket and Tailgate Combo is $38 per person. Tailgate Only is $10. Pick up your game tickets at the tailgate check-in. Tickets not picked up at the tailgate will be taken to the visiting team Will Call ticket window at the stadium.

Tech opens the 2015 home schedule in Tucker Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 19, against Mercer University at 6 p.m. The Kiss 98.5 FM Tailgate Park opens at 8 a.m. with official activities beginning at 3 p.m.

The game against Mercer features three special events -- it's Communiversity Night and First Tennessee Bank Poster Night, and will also feature the tradition of the "Running of the Freshman" led by TTU President Philip Oldham.
