2022 (Junior): Taylor tie for third on the Golden Eagle squad with 20 appearances out of the bullpen… finished the year with a 2-0 record and one save while delivering the fourth-best ERA among Tech relievers… tallied a 5.52 ERA with 30 strikeouts and .265 opponent batting average… allowed 19 earned runs, 31 hits, and 18 walks in 31.0 innings on the mound… made his Tech debut with 1.0 inning of work at South Alabama (Feb. 20)… picked up his first win in the purple and gold with 1.0 inning of scoreless relief against Purdue Fort Wayne (Mar. 6)… snagged his second win of the year following 3.0 innings of scoreless work at ETSU (Mar. 19)… collected a save following 1.1 innings against Morehead State (Apr. 3)… tossed a season-high 3.1 innings with three strikeouts and zero runs allowed against Austin Peay (May 15)… also struck out three batters at UT Martin (Apr. 23)… fanned three hitters without allowing a hit or run in 2.0 innings of work in the OVC Tournament against Southeast Missouri (May 26)… turned more than one inning on the mound in 11 outings… held opponents scoreless in nine appearances, including each of his final three of the year… did not allow a hit in four contests… punched out multiple batters 11 times, including six-straight appearances from Apr. 3 to Apr. 26.

2021 (Sophomore – Motlow State CC): Taylor made 14 appearances out of the bullpen as a sophomore… tallied an 0-1 record with team-best marks of a 3.13 ERA and two saves… racked up 23.0 innings on the hill with 30 strikeouts… allowed just eight earned runs, 13 walks, and 21 hits… made his season debut with 2.0 innings of scoreless relief and two strikeouts at Jackson State CC (Feb. 3)… compiled season-highs of 2.2 innings and four strikeouts without allowing a run in the first game of a doubleheader at Chattanooga State CC (Apr. 21)… picked up a save with 1.1 innings of hitless relief in the back end of a double dip against Cleveland State CC (Mar. 19)… earned his second save without allowing a hit in 1.0 inning at Chattanooga State CC (May 1)… turned in multiple innings of work in 10 games… fanned three or more batters six times… produced 10 performances without surrendering a run, including each of his final seven appearances.

2020 (Freshman – Motlow State CC): Taylor made six appearances out of the bullpen in his first season at Motlow State before the remainder of the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic… delivered a 2-0 record with a team-high two saves and a 3.38 ERA… totaled 13.1 innings with 11 strikeouts… allowed five earned runs, 10 hits, and five walks… made his collegiate debut with 2.0 innings of work to earn his first career save at Wallace State CC (Feb. 1)… earned his second save with his first career punch out in 1.0 inning on the hill at Northwest Florida State College (Feb. 7)… collected his first collegiate win with 2.1 innings of relief against Vincennes (Feb. 16)… struck out a season-high five batters in 2.2 innings on the mound against Freed Hardeman (Feb. 25)… followed it up with five more K’s to pick up a win after a season-long 3.0 innings of relief against Southwest Tennessee CC (Feb. 29)… turned in multiple innings of work in five games.

High School: Taylor was a two-sport athlete, lettering two years as a pitcher and corner infielder at North Cobb Christian High School in Kennesaw, Ga. for head baseball coach Jimmy Keane and two years as a wide receiver for head football coach Mark Hollars… earned 2019 6-1A All-Region Subregion B First Team honors as a senior… named the team’s MVP as a junior… named a 2019 Perfect Game Preseason Underclassmen All-American Honorable Mention… led his team to district titles in both football and baseball.

Personal: Son of Cher and Mark Taylor… born in Kennesaw, Ga. on July 10, 2001… full name is Colt Kevin Taylor… uncle, Ronnie Taylor, played baseball at Jacksonville State from 1979-82… cousin, Jeff Kindel, played baseball at Georgia Tech in 2002 and from 2004-06, earned All-ACC accolades twice and was drafted in 14^th round of the 2006 MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies… originally committed to Austin Peay out of high school.

Academic: Majoring in interdisciplinary studies… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll three times and to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll once.
