BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech pitcher Peyton Calitri was recognized as the Ohio Valley Conference's Pitcher of the Week for the first time in his Golden Eagle career as announced by the league on Monday.

Calitri delivered one of the more impressive outings by a Tech hurler in program history, tossing a complete game of 10 innings in a 4-2 victory over ETSU Friday evening. The right-hander turned in the third-most innings pitched in a single contest by a Golden Eagle in program history and the longest outing in Division I baseball since 2019.

A native of Collierville, Tenn., Calitri scattered five hits and just two runs, both coming on a home run in the fourth inning. He went to strike out a career-high 11 batters without issuing a walk, including fanning eight after surrendering the long ball.

He punched out the side in the ninth and allowed just two hits after the fourth frame. The outing followed an impressive showing at Southeast Louisiana the week prior, when the Golden Eagle ace took a no-hitter into the eighth inning and finished with eight innings of work, one run allowed, and just a single hit.

Tech will return to Cookeville to kick off an eight-game homestand Tuesday, playing host to North Alabama in a 3:00 p.m. CT rematch from the Golden Eagles' 11-8 victory over the Lions earlier this season.
