COOKEVILLE, Tenn.—Senior, Cody Dodd and junior, setter Sharon Anderson took home OVC player of the week awards on Nov. 16. 

Dodd was named the Offensive Player of the Week after a stellar performance during Tech's two road victories over Jacksonville State (JSU) and UT Martin this past week. The Golden Eagles topped the Gamecocks 3-1 and then later edged out the Skyhawks 3-2 to seal a spot in the OVC tournament on this Thursday. Dodd put up 48 kills for Tech while averaging 5.3 kills per set. She also totaled 34 digs (3.78 per set) to lead the Golden Eagles, and put up six blocks and three service aces throughout the week. Dodd posted double-doubles in both matches (25 kills and 21 digs against UT Martin; 23 kills and 13 digs against JSU) to capture her 18th on the season. 

Anderson was named co-Setter of the Week with Tennessee State's Samantha Beltran. Anderson set a career-high 61 assists in the victory over UT Martin as well as another career-high 22 digs in the match. She totaled 105 assists on the weekend while averaging 11.67 assists per set. She gathered her 14th double-double in the match with the Skyhawks and led the team to an overall hitting percentage of .203.
