COOKEVILLE, Tenn.—Sharon Anderson, a junior from Burr Ridge, Ill., has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Setter of the Week on Oct. 5, after a solid performance last week.
Anderson had 87 assists and averaged 12.43 assists per set over the two matches the Tennessee Tech volleyball team played. She gathered double-doubles in both of Tech's matches and has posted nine thus far this season. She put up 41 of her 87 total assists in the win over Southeast Missouri (SEMO) and was a stable setter in helping lead the Golden Eagles to victory. Anderson led the team to a .218 hitting percentage in the SEMO match and a .184 hitting percentage overall this past week.
Anderson has dished out 509 assists on the season and tallied 160 digs, 20 kills, 14 service aces, and 11 blocks. Anderson has been the key contributor to leading Tech to an overall .152 hitting percentage so far this season and continues to lead the team in assists and assists per set (9.25) every week.
