Tech's Kesha Brady earns OVC First Team All-Conference honors

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech women's basketball's junior guard Kesha Brady has been named to the Ohio Valley All-Conference First Team, announced by the league office on Tuesday.

"This is a tremendous honor for Kesha and our team," expressed head coach Kim Rosamond. "Kesha has been a consistent scoring threat for us all season from all three levels, and she has played a big part in our success. Her ability to shoot the three, score off the bounce, and get to the free throw line has allowed her to be a very explosive player. She is also a relentless offensive rebounder. She has worked hard to bounce back from a disappointing injury that cut her freshman year short. Our staff and players are happy to see her receive this honor."

Brady leads the Golden Eagles in scoring (14.4), offensive rebounds (56), free throws made (118), and free throws attempted (162). In the OVC, Brady ranks third in free throw attempts (162), fifth in free throws made (118), seventh in scoring (14.4), eighth in 3-point field goal percentage (.367), 10th in 3-point field goals made (1.8), and 14th in free throw percentage (.728).

14 times this season Brady has led the team in scoring, including six 20-plus point games and a career-high 33-point performance during Tech's victory over the Samford Bulldogs. She also tied a career-high 10 rebounds against Lipscomb and a career-high five assists against Eastern Illinois, in addition to setting career-highs this season for field goals made and attempted, 3-point field goals made and attempted, and free throws made and attempted.

The honor marks the first postseason honor for the Smynra, Tenn. native. Earlier this season, Brady earned her first OVC Player of the Week nod after her incredible career performance against Samford.

The sixth-seeded Golden Eagles will head to the OVC Tournament this week, facing the third-seeded Southeast Missouri Redhawks at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 5 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind. The first-round matchup will be broadcast on ESPN+ and 106.1 The Eagle.
