COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Not only is talent important to the Tennessee Tech women's basketball program, but finding student-athletes that possess leadership qualities and character is equally significant.

Tech head coach Kim Rosamond and her staff found that match with their third and final signee of the early signing period in 5-foot-7 point guard Ansley Hall.

"Ansley is a skilled, tough, hard-nosed player that is a great person and leader," Rosamond explained. "Her personality and values are a great fit for our program."

Hall joins the Golden Eagles out of Watkinsville, Ga., where she starred at North Oconee High School under head coach Erick Willis during the 2018-19 campaign. She also competed at Prince Avenue Christian School during her freshman and sophomore seasons before transferring to NOHS.

In three short seasons at both programs, she has already made a lasting impact with her senior campaign just under way. In 2018-19 at NOHS, Hall averaged 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 2.2 steals per game as a Titan. She netted 21 points against the No. 3-ranked team in Class 4A in Madison County and dropped 25 points against Lanier High School, the reigning Class 6A state champions.

"Ansley is a versatile competitor," Rosamond said. "Not only has she competed in basketball, but she has also been a soccer, softball and track standout in her high school career. Ansley brings a strong, physical presence to the point guard position. She is a true floor general who has a high basketball IQ, great floor vision and the ability to score in multiple ways."

While at Prince Avenue, Hall helped lead the Wolverines to their first-ever state quarterfinals appearance during her freshman campaign and followed it up with the team's second-straight quarterfinal appearance as a sophomore.

Individually, the future Golden Eagle has twice been named All-State by the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association as a sophomore and junior. Additionally, she earned All-Region First Team honors by the GHSA Region 5A during her time at Prince Avenue and First Team honors by Region 8AAAA following last year's campaign at North Oconee.

She competed as a member of the nationally recognized Nike EYBL Tennessee Flight organization this past summer. Hall played against some of the top players in the country while under the direction of an outstanding crop of coaches in Tom Insell, Cory Barrett, Lynn Burkey, and Christian Simmons.

When Hall made her visit to Tech and met with the team, she knew she had found a home after high school.

"I chose Tennessee Tech because of the family atmosphere and how invested the coaches are in their players on and off the court," Hall explained.

Hall holds an impressive 4.0 GPA at NOHS and is a member of the Beta Club.

"Ansley strives for excellence in all areas of her life," Rosamond added. "She is a high achiever, a great teammate and an outstanding student. There is no doubt she will be a huge asset on the court and in the locker room."

Tech's third and final signee, Hall joins Peyton Carter and Madison Brady to complete the 2020 Golden Eagle recruiting class.
