COOKEVILLE, Tenn.—After a superb performance amongst some of the top teams in the nation, Tennessee Tech track and field's Na'Asha Robinson has claimed adidas® OVC Track Athlete of the Week accolades on Feb. 8.
Na'Asha was a key performer for the Golden Eagle track team last weekend at the Meyo Invitational. She and her teammates of Micayla Rennick, D'Airrien Jackson, and Sarah Brandt claimed a Tech school record in the distance medley relay on day one of the invite with a time of 11:35.22. She then went on to day two to claim another school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.20m, which landed as the top time recorded this season in the OVC and ranked 13th in the nation.
MALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Quamel Prince, Sr., Nashville, Tenn. – Tennessee State
Prince picked up a pair of first place finishes at the Middle Tennessee Invitational last week. He won the 400-meter event with a time of 48:30 which is the second best time this season. He also took the 800-meter event with a time of 1:52.40. That time is third in the OVC this year.

FEMALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Na'Asha Robinson, So., Huntsville, Ala. – Tennessee Tech
Robinson won the 400-meter dash at the Notre Dame Meyo Invitational last week. Her time of 53.20 sent a new school record and ranks first in the OVC. The time also ranks 13th in the nation. Robinson ran a leg of the distance medley relay that finished fifth out of 20 teams with a time of 11:35.22. That time is tops on the OVC this year.

MALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Julian Harvey, Sr., Edwardsville, Ill. – SIUE
Harvey placed third in the high jump at the SIU Don DeNoon Invitational last week. His leap of 7'00.25" is first in the OVC this year and ranks 29th in the nation.

FEMALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Lizzie Virgl, Jr., Wahoo, Neb. – SIUE
Virgl took sixth in the weight throw at the SIUE Don DeNoon Invitational last week. She recorded a personal-best toss of 55'10.25" which ranks fifth in the OVC this year.
