Spring 2023 (Sophomore): Bassel participated in two of Tech’s four tournaments in the spring, completing six rounds of action… turned in a spring-low 227 with rounds of 80, 74, and 73 at the Big Blue Intercollegiate… wrapped up the year with a 77.25 scoring average.
Fall 2022 (Sophomore): Bassel took part in two of the team’s five fall events, finishing six rounds of play… turned in a season-low 72 in the third round of the Golfweek Fall Challenge (Sept. 12-14), totaling a season-low 223 overall… registered three rounds under 80 for a 233 at The Grover Page Classic (Sept. 19-20)… ended the fall with a scoring average of 76.00.
Spring 2022 (R-Freshman): Bassel participated in two of the team's six events in the spring, totaling four rounds of action… turned in a season-low 73 in the second round of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate (Mar. 14-15)… shot a spring-low 160 at the BNI… named the team's Most Improved Player Award winner… finished the year with an 81.29 scoring average.
Fall 2021 (R-Freshman): Bassel competed in one of Tech’s four events in the fall, completing three rounds of play… made his collegiate debut at the Battle at Black Creek (Oct. 25-26)… shot a 245 in the tournament, delivering a season-best round of 77… rounded out the fall with a scoring average of 81.67.
Spring 2021 (Freshman): Bassel sat out the 2021 spring campaign as a redshirt.
Fall 2020 (Freshman): The 2020 fall season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
High School: Bassel was a four-year letterwinner for head coach Eric Geldolf at Lexington Christian Academy in Lexington, Ky.… captured regional individual medalist honors as a senior… as a sophomore, helped lead his team to a state title… racked up a scoring average of 72.2 during his senior campaign… as a junior, compiled a 73.6 scoring average while placing in the top-10 of the AJOA.
