2022 (Sophomore – Columbia State CC): Mann finished second the team with 15 total appearances while making six starts… finished the year with a 3-3 record, two saves, and 4.98 ERA… struck out 54 batters in 47.0 innings on the hill… allowed 53 hits, 26 earned runs, and 15 walks… made his first appearance and start at Free Hardeman (Feb. 8)… turned in 2.0 innings of shutout work with four strikeouts against Rend Lake College (Feb. 12)… picked up his first win of the year behind 5.0 innings with five punch outs and just one unearned run allowed at Roane State CC (Mar. 4)… fanned a season-high nine batters in a win against Walters State CC (Apr. 29), allowing no walks, zero runs, and just three hits in 4.0 innings out of the bullpen… tossed 4.0 innings in relief at Southwest Tennessee CC (Apr. 1), punching out eight and picking up his first save of the season… snagged his second save in his next appearance on the hill, finishing 4.0 innings of one-hit work with five K’s against Cleveland State CC (Apr. 8)… completed a season-long 6.0 innings in the season finale against Dyersburg State CC (May 11)… worked multiple innings in 13 contests… struck out four or more batters six times… did not allow an earned run in seven appearances.

2021 (Freshman – Columbia State CC): Mann tied for the team lead with 18 appearances in his first year at Columbia State, making a team-high 11 starts and seven showings out of the bullpen… wrapped up the year 4-3 with two saves… ranked second on the team with a 4.15 ERA, four wins, 55 strikeouts, and 52.0 innings of work… allowed 47 hits, 24 earned runs, and 21 walks… made his first collegiate start and appearance with 1.0 inning of shutout ball and two strikeouts at Cleveland State CC (Jan. 31)… picked up his first career win with a designed, 2.0 inning start against Motlow State CC (Feb. 24), allowing just one hit and no runs while striking out four batters… completed a season-long 6.0 innings with nine strikeouts to pick up a victory at Southwest Tennessee CC (Mar. 28)… also tossed 6.0 innings of scoreless work with four punch outs to collect a win against Jackson State CC (Apr. 15)… fanned a season-best 12 batters while finishing 5.0 innings without allowing a run to earn a victory against Southwest Tennessee CC (Apr. 21)… earned his first career save following 2.0 innings of scoreless work with just one hit allowed and two K’s against Jackson State CC (Mar. 16)… snagged another save with 3.0 innings on the hill and three strikeouts at Volunteer State CC (Apr. 30)… tossed at least 3.0 innings eight times… turned in eight scoreless showings on the year… struck out at least three batters in nine contests.

High School: Mann was a two-sport athlete at Gordonsville High School in Gordonsville, Tenn., competing as a pitcher and first baseman for head baseball coaches Keith Goolsby and Randy Harrell and as a forward for head basketball coach Trey Sanders… hit .412 with 42 hits, 21 runs, 40 RBI, nine RBI, and one home run as a senior… also during his senior campaign, finished 9-0 with an 0.52 ERA in 11 appearances while racking up 97 strikeouts and allowing just an 0.71 opponent batting average and 13 walks… … helped lead GHS to three district, region, and substate championships… ranked as the 19^th overall right-handed pitching prospect by Perfect Game.

Personal: Son of Christy Norris and Wesley Young… born in Gordonsville, Tenn. on August 15, 2001… full name is Hunter Cayden Mann… originally committed to Middle Tennessee out of high school.

Academic: Majoring in interdisciplinary studies… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll once.
