COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Off the heels of a perfect 5-0 homestand, the Tennessee Tech baseball team will hit the road for its final road stretch of the season, playing five games away from Bush Stadium at the Averitt Express baseball complex over the next two weeks.
The Golden Eagles (33-12) will start the stretch with a two-game stint in Cullowhee, N.C. when they take on the Catamounts of Western Carolina (31-17) in a battle of 30-win teams. Tech will look to fight history this weekend as the Catamounts hold a commanding 10-1 all-time series lead over the Golden Eagles.
Expected on the hill for Tech this weekend are senior ace Tristan Archer (7-3) and junior Ross Spurgeon (2-2). They will face-off against Western Carolina starters Jeremy Null (5-2) and Jordan Smith (4-3).
