Golden Eagles begin OVC bye week with home tilt against East Tennessee State

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - The time has finally come for the Tennessee Tech baseball team to take a week off from Ohio Valley Conference play, something that each team in the league does each season. Tech will still play a tough non-conference slate, however, beginning with East Tennessee State on Wednesday.

The Golden Eagles will host the Buccaneers in a 6 p.m. CDT contest that will feature a unique story line. East Tennessee State is the only team to shutout the Golden Eagles this season, winning 3-0 in an April 2 match-up in Johnson City. Tech will look to extend its five-game winning streak while also exacting a spot of revenge.

Junior right hander Garrett Baugh (3-1) will take the hill against the Bucs, facing off against Kameron Miller (0-1), a right-handed freshman making his second career start.

Fans can follow this weekend's game via live stats here. Tuesday's contest will be web streamed on the OVC Digital Network. Fans can watch the free video stream here.
