Golden Eagle High School Elite Camp still on schedule for Saturday morning

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Despite recent inclement weather, the Tennessee Tech baseball team will still be hosting its annual High School Elite Camp for grades 9-12 on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 as planned.

With the weather forecasting sunny with very little to no precipitation, the camp will continue as previously scheduled. Partipants are encouraged to dress for cold weather as it is expected to stay in and around the 40's most of the duration of the camp.

The camp will inlcude colleges from every division of college baseball in attendance, as well as multiple colleges from around the region. Weather permitting, attendees will have the opportunity to play a game in front of collegiate scouts, do a pro style workout, and receive skill instruction from a collegiate coach.

The charge is $80 per camper and space is limited to the first 80 applicants. Check in will begin at 8 a.m. and run to approximately 8:45 a.m. Evaluation and instruction is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. and continue until 1:30 p.m.

The camp will be held at the Athletic Performance Center on the campus of Tennessee Tech University.

The Golden Eagle Baseball Staff includes Head Coach & 2009 Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year, Matt Bragga; Former Mississippi State standout & 12th round draft pick Brandon Turner; 2007 TSSAA Batting Crown Winner Cody Church; and 2009 NAIA All-American Kyle Medley.

Note: Although the camp is run by TTU coaches and use of the facilities is warranted, this event is run independently of Tennessee Tech University.
