RICHMOND, Ky. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team rounded out action at the Colonel Classic at the University Club at Arlington Tuesday, turning in its best round of the week.

The Golden Eagles tied for 13th overall with Western Michigan, carding a 307 to finish the three rounds of golf with a 930 overall. Eastern Kentucky claimed the top spot with an 875 on their its home course and was led by individual medalist Ragga Kristinsdottir and her 7-under 209.

Leading the Golden Eagle effort on the links was junior Heidi Lawson, who tied for 34th in the field of 81 with a 230 overall. She posted a team-low 74 on Tuesday, the low round for the tournament for the purple and gold.

Finishing second on the Tech leaderboard was redshirt senior Arianna Clemmer, tying for 41st overall. She registered a third-round 77 for a final score of 232 for the week. Freshman Ainsley Simms tied for 56th after posting an 84 in the final round to reach a 236 total.

Senior Hannah Bratton tied for 60th in the field, carding her low-round of the week with a 77. She finished just one shot back of Simms with a 237. Rounding out the Tech lineup, sophomore Elisabeth Toennessen turned in a 79 for a 242 to rank 67th.

Next on the docket for the Golden Eagles is the two-day, Jan Weaver Invitational at Miller Memorial Golf Course in Murray, Ky. on Friday, Apr. 9 and Saturday, Apr. 10.
