COOKEVILLE, Tenn.—After throwing a four-hit, complete game shutout in game one versus Eastern Kentucky, junior Danielle Liberatore has been named the adidas® OVC Pitcher of the Week on May 9.
The southpaw retired 10 batters at the dish while walking only one, and held the Colonels to a .167 batting average.
On the season, Liberatore maintains a 15-12 record from the circle, with 16 complete games, 5/1 shutouts, and three saves. Over her 155.2 innings pitched, she notches a 2.79 ERA, tallying 220 strikeouts while walking just 71. The Peotone, Ill. native holds a 10-5 conference mark from the circle with a 1.46 ERA. She has thrown 12 complete games, including 3/1 shutouts with three saves. Over her 100.2 innings pitched in OVC play, she has retired 134 batters at the plate while walking only 29.
