Tech men's golf team headed east for Wofford Invitational

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team returns to action Monday morning, kicking off the two-day Wofford Invitational hosted by Wofford at the Country Club of Spartanburg.

WOFFORD INVITATIONAL: Apr. 1-2, 2019 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,648-yard Country Club of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, S.C. Teams will kick off with an 8:00 a.m. CT shotgun start on Monday and Tuesday.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are sophomore Will Brooks, sophomore Bracton Womack, freshman Bryce Beeler, junior Cameron Yeary and senior Matthew Giles.

THE COMPETITION: The 15-team field consists of host Wofford, as well as, Appalachian State, Austin Peay, Belmont, Charleston Southern, Delaware, Francis Marion, Furman, Gardner-Webb, High Point, Longwood, Presbyterian, Radford, Tennessee Tech, USC Upstate and Western Carolina.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH BROWN: "The guys have put together some solid golf over the last month, and we look to continue that at Wofford. This will be the first time we have played this event, so it is an exciting addition to the schedule. Spartanburg Country Club is an outstanding venue, and we think it will set up very well for us. Ready to get there and compete."
