COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team will take part in the Autotrader Collegiate Classic for the first time, heading to Duluth, Ga. Monday for the two-day event at Berkeley Hills Country Club.

AUTOTRADER COLLEGIATE CLASSIC: Oct. 15-16, 2018 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,694-yard Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Ga. Teams will kick off with a 7:30 a.m. CT shotgun start on Monday.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are sophomore Bracton Womack, senior Matthew Giles, junior Dabney Dickenson, sophomore Will Brooks and junior Cameron Yeary.

THE COMPETITION: The 12-team field consists of host Georgia State, as well as Boston College, Chattanooga, Francis Marion, Georgia Southern, James Madison, Loyola (Maryland), Richmond, Samford, Tennessee Tech, UNC Greensboro and Western Kentucky.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH BROWN: "This is the first time we've ever competed in Georgia State's event, a tournament we've been trying to get into for the past few years. We were excited to get an invitation this year and the opportunity to compete at a great course at Berkeley Hills. The guys had a productive week of practice in preparation for this event and are itching to get out there and play."

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Tech will participate in the Autotrader Collegiate Classic for the first time in program history, facing a stiff test of competition in a talented 12-team field. Georgia Southern dominated last year's event, winning by 24 shots, and will return to the field against this year.
