Tech men's golf team finishes 13th at The Invitational at Savannah Harbor

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team wrapped up play at The Invitational at Savannah Harbor Sunday morning, concluding play in 13th place among 18 competitors at The Club at Savannah Harbor.

The Golden Eagles posted an 899 (302-292-305), ranking behind the tournament winner, South Carolina Beaufort, which finished at 872 (295-295-282). Washington & Lee's Brian Peccie won the individual title after firing a 4-under 212 (72-69-71).

Leading the Tech lineup for the event was Cookeville native Will Brooks. The sophomore tied for 29th among the 95 in contention after carding a 223 (78-70-75).

Finishing just a stroke behind was junior Cameron Yeary, tying for 35th overall with a 224. He turned in rounds of 72, 75 and 77 to finish 8-over for the tournament. Next among the Golden Eagle lineup was freshman Bryce Beeler, who captured a 227 (74-74-79) to tie for 54th.

Bracton Womack, a sophomore from McMinnville, and Dabney Dickenson, a junior from Brentwood, tied each other for 77th, posting matching 230s. Womack collected rounds of 78, 78 and 74 while Dickenson turned in a 78, 73 and 79.

Tech will next be in action at the Grover Page Classic at Jackson Country Club at Jackson, Tenn. The event, hosted by Ohio Valley Conference and in-state rival UT Martin, will run Monday, March 11 through Tuesday, March 12.
