COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech Sports Hall of Famer and former Golden Eagle men's golfer Scott Stallings turned in an impressive showing on the links over the weekend, placing third at the PGA Tour's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Stallings wrapped up Sunday in a tie for second place with Paul Casey and trailing only Phil Mickelson, both of whom need extra time on Monday morning to wrap up their final two holes after it was deemed too dark to finish on Sunday.

Mickelson won the event at 19-under while Casey just edged past Stallings for sole possession of second place with a 16-under performance. Stallings carded a 15-under, 272 for the four-day event, besting Jason Day and Si Woo Kim for third place by a pair of strokes.

The former two-time OVC Golfer of the Year turned in a bogey-free, 5-under 67 in the first round, setting himself up nicely for the rest of the event. He followed it with a 2-under 70 on Friday and highlighted a 3-under Saturday round with a pair of eagles.

On Sunday, Stallings picked up the pace early, rocketing up the leaderboard after making five birdies in a six-hole stretch. He picked up two more on the back nine, shooting 6-under for the day and locking himself in a tie for second overall with Casey as the day ended.

It marked his eighth top-three finish of his professional career and his highest since tying for third at the Barbasol Championship in 2017. Stallings built off his success in the same event last season when he finished seventh overall.

With the showing at Pebble Beach, Stallings currently ranks 59th in the FedEXCup Rank, just two spots off his career-high final season ranking of 57th back during his rookie campaign in 2011.
