Baseball pre-season elite camp still on for January 22

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --Head baseball coach Matt Bragga and his staff will be hosting their annual pre-season elite camp on Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Camp will be held in the new Athletic Performance Center at Tennessee Tech, but participants are advised to bring clothes for indoor and outdoor conditions.

The Golden Eagle Elite Baseball Camp is a one day event that is designed for the serious ballplayer, between the ages of 14 and 18. Players will participate in drills and games lead by the Golden Eagle coaching staff & current TTU players.

A typical camp day will include discussions on Division I recruiting, positional skill and drill work, cage hitting and pitching drills, form running drills and live game play, among other lessons.

Other highlights of the camp include a campus tour of our beautiful University and discussions on important topics such as: NCAA Division I recruiting rules & NCAA college baseball. Our goal of this camp is simply to stress the fundamentals of baseball, and to help each player in different phases of the game.

Camp will also stress the importance of positive mental and emotional attitudes, which are not only beneficial to athletes, but are conducive to success in all walks of life.
