Tennis team wraps up homestand Wednesday against Murray State

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tennessee Tech tennis team has put together an impressive run over the last 10 days and will look to extend its winning streak Wednesday as it hosts Murray State at 12 p.m.

Admission to all of Tech?s home matches on the TTU campus courts is free of charge.

The Golden Eagles are 4-7 and 2-0 in Ohio Valley Conference play this season and have won their last three duals, including conference wins over Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State last weekend.

During Tech's homestand, freshman Alejandro Augusto Bueno and senior Justin Kirstein have been lights out for the Golden Eagles as they have combined for a perfect 4-0 record in singles play and have teamed up to win both of their doubles matches.

The Racers (3-8, 1-1 OVC) are currently on a three-game slide, having lost to Kentucky and Louisville on the road and most recently at home to Harding.

Tyler Jeffers has won four singles matches this season and is a perfect 2-0 in OVC play. Max McLean and Daniel Heibel have each won four singles matches as well this season.
