COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tennessee Tech tennis team kicks off its 2012 spring schedule this weekend as it heads down to Chattanooga, for a pair of duals against No. 71 Radford Saturday, and host UT Chattanooga Sunday morning.

The Golden Eagles dual against the Highlanders is set for 5 p.m., with their contest against the Mocs set for 9 a.m.

TTU enters the spring season on the heels of a solid fall showing in which the Golden Eagles netted 17 singles victories and five doubles victories.

Abdukhailikov, along with senior Alex Chen led the Golden Eagles in doubles action with a 3-2 record.

Sophomore Vasily Eremeev and senior Justin Kirstein each record four wins in singles action this past fall, while Chen added three to his career totals, as well.

Radford is 0-1 this season, having dropped its spring opener against No. 74 North Florida 5-2. Thomas Dehaen and Patrick O'Keefe were the only two Highlanders to record singles victories for Radford, while the pairing of Dehaen and Nicholas Sayer took Radford's lone double victory, 8-0.

UT Chattanooga opens its spring season this weekend after recording an individual 17-34 singles record and a 10-8 doubles record this past fall in tourney play.

The Mocs were led by Ankit Chopra's 5-4 singles record, with Roberto Vieira and Manuel Barroetavena following with identical 4-4 records. The doubles pairing of William Disterdick and Vierira led UTC with a 3-0 record.
