ATHENS, Ga. -- The Golden Eagles wrapped up the Southern Invitational Sunday, with a total of four singles victories over the weekend.
Justin Kirstein, who advanced to the Division II Quarterfinals, fell to North Carolina State’s Robbie Mudge in three sets 6-7(4), 6-2, 6-4. Kirstein has now put together a 4-2 singles record in the fall season.
Vasily Eremeev wrapped up consolation play with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Georgia State’s Ismael Lahiou. With his two wins this weekend, Eremeev has improved his fall season singles record to 3-2.
