TULSA, Okla. --- Senior Alex Chen and took part in the ITA All-America Championships Saturday, in Tulsa, Okla.

Chen began his day with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 victory over Louisiana-Layfayette’s Rick DeGroot. In his second match, Chen squared off with Mississippi’s Adrian Forberg Skogeng but was unable to come away with the win as Chen fell 6-3 7-5.

Chen and junior Syrym Abdukhailikov will continue play in the ITA All-America Championships later this week. The rest of the Golden Eagles are back in action at the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Region, in Knoxville, Tenn. The five-day event begins Oct. 20.
