Tennessee Tech announces restructure of athletics staff, additional positions

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech Athletics Department announced changes to the breakdown of its organizational structure effective Friday, July 1.

Former Senior Facilities and Events Coordinator Matt Dexter steps into a newly created role as the assistant athletics director for external relations and will oversee the Facilities and Events, Marketing and Promotions, and Video Production Departments. Dexter is entering his ninth year as a member of the Golden Eagle athletics staff.

With the retirement of former Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Information and Broadcasting Rob Schabert, after 34 years of service, Mike Lehman takes over to run the Sports Information Department as the sports information director. Lehman has served the department as an intern and coordinator for the past four years.

Staying within the Sports Information Department, current coordinator and Golden Eagle Sports Network broadcaster Dylan Vazzano has been promoted to a full time position with the title of sports information coordinator / broadcaster. Vazzano recently completed his third year as a member of the TTU athletics department staff. The Sports Information Department also will add one position of sports information coordinator to round out the staff.

Also stepping into a full time role is Facilities and Events Coordinator Seth Bruton. The former TTU men's basketball manager will begin his second year with the Golden Eagle athletics staff. Additionally, the Facilities and Events Department will add one more coordinator to the staff.

Within the Tech Marketing and Promotions Department, Jesse Bunch will continue his role as marketing and promotions coordinator, but with added responsibilities of graphic design. Bunch will enter his third year
