GLENCOE, Ala. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team knocked out day two of play at the Chris Banister Golf Classic on Monday, battling through more adverse weather conditions to finish round two at RTJ Silver Lakes.
The Golden Eagles completed round two still ranked sixth in the seven-team field after delivering a 324 for a total of 643. Host Jacksonville State saw its leads disappear, with Richmond tying the Gamecocks for the top spot on the leaderboard with scores of 609.
Junior Kaydi Rhodes continued to pace the purple and gold, ending day two tied for 14th in the 43-golfer field after sporting a round of 80. She tallied two birdies to bring her total for the tournament to 157.
Climbing the leaderboard to tie for 20th, senior Reagan Stuke ended the day with a composite 162 after producing her second round of 81 with 12 pars. Sophomore Chloe Griffith carded an 83 while tying for 25th with a two-day total of 163.
Rookie Kailey Lane also completed the day tied for 25th, recording her two-round score of 163 behind two birdies and a round of 82 on Tuesday. Junior Sydney Branson moved up to a tie for 35th, totaling 167 behind a round of 81 and two birdies.
Competing as an individual, sophomore Lexus Julian finished off the second day of play with an 87 and full total of 168.
Tuesday's third and final round will open with tee times set to begin at 8:00 a.m. CT.
