COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team heads to Muscle Shoals, Ala. for the Ohio Valley Conference Championships beginning Monday, Apr. 15 and running through Wednesday, Apr. 17 at the Schoolmaster Course at the Shoals.
OHIO VALLEY CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS: Apr. 15-17, 2019 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday, 18 Wednesday), located at the par-72 Schoolmaster Course at the Shoals on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Muscle Shoals, Ala. Teams will kick off with tee times each day beginning at 8:00 a.m. CT.
GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are junior Shelby Johnson, senior Lindsay Miller, sophomore Kate Mashburn, freshman Heidi Lawson and junior Arianna Clemmer.
THE COMPETITION: The nine-team field consists of Austin Peay, Belmont, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Morehead State, Murray State, Tennessee State and Tennessee Tech.
THOUGHTS FROM COACH BROWN: "We have been working the whole year towards this opportunity, and the women are ready to go. The ladies have come off some solid play at Murray, and we look to capitalize on that momentum this week. If we go out there and play fearless golf along with an attitude of acceptance, we believe we can do some great things in this event. We look forward to playing and seeing what happens."
