CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Carley Rhyne found a way to cut nine strokes off her first day score and was the team's leader on the final day of the F&M Bank Intercollegiate. With freshman Ericka Wann posting the team's highest finish and Rhyne leading the second-day push, the Tennessee Tech women's golf team finished in 10th place at the 36-hole tournament at the Clarksville Country Club.

Wann finished in a tie for 35th place with rounds of 79 and 82 for a two-day total 161. Rhyne followed Monday's 86 with a 77 Tuesday to post a 163 and tie for 44th place. While the improvements weren't as dramatic as Rhyne's all three other players in the Tech lineup carded improved scores Tuesday. Senior Lindsay Spradlen was 53rd with an 84-81--165, followed by sophomore Katherine Bell at 88-81--169, and freshman Amber Shepherd at 88-82--170.

Additionally, Tech had two players competing individually in the tournament, which featured 77 players. Freshman Katy Beth GLover tied for 27th place at 80-79--159, while sophomore Amanda Randolph was tied for 48th place at 84-80--164.

With medalist Caroline Lagerborg leading the way, Murray State won the team title with a two-day 604. Western Kentucky (611) was second, followed by Jacksonville State (617), Austin Peay (623), Troy (628), Houston Baptist (630), Belmont (636), Eastern Kentucky (642), Eastern Illinois (653), Tennessee Tech (658), SIU Edwardsville (661) and Lipscomb (679).

Coach Brandy Stout's team has one tournament remaining in the fall schedule. The Golden Eagles head to Gulf Shores, Ala., next weekend for the UAB Beach Blast.
