@TTUWBB officially completes coaching staff

COOKEVILLE, Tenn.—Women's basketball head coach Kim Rosamond has officially assembled her coaching staff. Rosamond will be joined on the court by Crystal Kelly, Melanie Walls, and Allison Clark.

"With the additions of Coach Walls and Coach Kelly, we have put together a championship staff," Rosamond said. "Our first recruiting success was convincing Coach Clark to stay on board at Tennessee Tech. Alli has been tremendous in my first month on campus, and I couldn't imagine being on this journey without her. All three assistant coaches have won at a high level, value player development, and have extensive experience teaching the game of basketball. Most importantly, all three are outstanding people and will work relentlessly to help our players be successful young women on and off the court."

Kelly will come to Tech after serving for four years as an assistant women's basketball coach at Bellarmine University. In the 2015-16 season, she helped lead the Knights to a 24-4 overall record, tying the best winning percentage (.857) in program history, and a 15-3 finish in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). Kelly also helped guide Bellarmine to an unprecedented GLVC Tournament Championship after the Knights upset No. 10 Drury, 80-77, in the semifinals and then No. 22 Quincy, 89-78, in the finals to claim their first NCAA berth since 2008. Walls joins the Golden Eagle family after spending eight years at the Gatewood School in Eatonton, Ga., where she served as an assistant athletic director, head girl's basketball and track coach, and high school math teacher. She led her basketball teams to a 218-23 overall record, six region championships (2010-13, 2015-16), and three state championships (2010, 2012, 2016). While at Gatewood, Walls was named the Region Basketball Coach of the Year six times and the AA/AAA State Basketball Coach of the Year three times. Complete bio.

Former Golden Eagle three-point specialist Allison Clark returned to her alma mater prior to the 2012-13 season to serve as an assistant coach. Hired by former head coach Jim Davis, she is now working on Kim Rosamond's coaching staff. Clark will focus heavily on recruiting, as well as working with the guards on the court, and is primarily responsible for acting as a liaison for the players and academics. Complete bio.
