COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Standing at 14-12 on the season, the Tennessee Tech softball team will look to build upon its 5-5 Ohio Valley Conference mark Wednesday as it travels to Jacksonville State for an OVC doubleheader.
The Gamecocks, who were picked to finish first in the OVC
preseason poll, have amassed a 23-8 record and are 10-1 in
conference play. In its last four contests however, JSU has managed
just a 2-2 record, including a 7-6 lost to Southeast
Missouri.
Since their first meeting in 1993, both teams are deadlocked
with a 17-17 record. In their last meeting, the Gamecocks took the
10-4 decision in the OVC Tournament last season.
The opening pitch for Wednesday's doubleheader is set for 3
p.m., with the second game set to follow at 5 p.m.
