COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Following a lengthy hiatus from the courts, the Tennessee Tech tennis team will be back in action with a Wednesday afternoon match at Kennesaw State. TTU's clash with the Owls is slated to begin at 1 p.m. CT from the Betty Siegel Courts.

Live stats will be available. Click here to view.

The Golden Eagles (4-10) were last spotted on Mar. 9, concluding a two-match road swing in Alabama with a 4-3 loss at UAB. Tech was also upended 5-2 at Samford on Mar. 8.

Wenceslao Albin and Gonzalo Garcia are tied atop the TTU leaderboard with six singles wins apiece, while freshman Rafael Tosetto has held his own as the club's No. 1 performer with four nods out of the No. 1 position. Tosetto and Albin are also responsible for adding to Tech's trophy shelf with a pair of weekly OVC Male Tennis Athlete of the Week honors this spring. Albin secured his accolade on Feb. 20 and Tosetto took home his honor on Feb. 26.

From a doubles perspective, Albin and Tosetto have once again paved the way with a team-leading seven victories each.

A look at Kennesaw State

Unlike the Golden Eagles, the Owls (5-8) have kept busy lately with Wednesday serving as the third match in a four-day period for KSU. Kennesaw State fell 4-3 at Gardner-Webb on Sunday, but bounced back with a 4-3 nod over OVC foe Jacksonville State on Tuesday that broke a four-match slide for the squad.

Heading into Tuesday, Fermin Calvo Barcelo, Harvey Maughan and Sebastian Osorio were the team leaders with five singles wins each. Calvo Barcelo has only appeared in the No. 1 spot with a 5-6 mark from the top slot of the Owls order. The senior out of Mar del Plata, Argentina has also teamed up with Gaston Muhammad for the club's top doubles tandem behind a 7-3 record.

Kennesaw State has a perfect 2-0 record in the all-time series against Tech thanks to identical 5-2 nods in 2014 and 2015.
